Phillip Braddy, Ph.D., ACRW, CIC

Founder and CEO

Phillip founded CareerAdvisor in 2021 to assist job seekers and leaders in accelerating their job search and career success. He empowers job candidates to apply for competitive jobs and to convey their value to employers by offering premium professional writing services to clients in the following areas: resumes, LinkedIn profiles, professional biographies, and cover letters. Phillip also offers job search consulting and employment interview training.

Driven by his long-held passion to help others gain employment and enjoy rewarding careers, Phillip entered the field of industrial/organizational psychology to study human behavior in the workplace. Since earning his doctorate in 2007, he has developed dozens of HR-related tools that have been used to hire applicants and promote leaders.

Phillip is an Academy Certified Resume Writer and a Certified Interview Coach. He also holds a certificate in Negotiation Mastery from Harvard Business School Online.

Leveraging his expertise in career consulting, Phillip has written dozens of resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and professional bios for employees/leaders at all job levels within 15+ job functions and industries. He has also effectively coached job candidates, helping them land jobs more expeditiously. 

Phillip holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in psychology from East Carolina University and a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from North Carolina State University. 

In his free time, Phillip enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, exercising, and reading.

Heather brings nearly a decade of project management and materials development experience to her role at CareerAdvisor. She has extensive experience formatting and optimizing resumes, professional biographies, and cover letters for ATS compliance.

Heather spent nine years at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) supporting leadership development programs, executive coaching engagements, and managing research and evaluation projects. During her tenure at CCL, she developed presentations, training manuals, reports, and infographics for internal teams and clients. She has worked with organizations in the private, nonprofit, government, and public sectors.

Heather earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Natalie brings extensive project management and communications experience to her role at CareerAdvisor. She routinely formats resumes, writes and edits copy for various communications and publications, maintains content for multiple websites, and produces digital marketing content for a variety of organizations.  

Natalie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from North Carolina State University. She is an alumnus of the Center for Creative Leadership’s Leadership Fundamentals and Maximizing Your Leadership Potential programs.
